Privacy
Last updated 15 September 2026.
CABAL DESK is a static website. There are no accounts, no logins, and no advertising or cross-site tracking. We collect as little as possible.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, passwords, or profiles.
- No advertising cookies, no third-party ad or social trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal data — there is essentially none to sell.
What is collected, and why
- Aggregate analytics. We may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count page views and referrers in aggregate. It does not build a profile of you or store personal data, and it is used only to understand what readers find useful.
- Anonymous reading events. The site may record anonymous events (for example, that an article was viewed or a share button tapped) with no name, account, or identifier attached to you.
- Server & delivery logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes standard request data — such as IP address and user agent — to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, per Cloudflare's own policies. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers.
- Newsletter, if you sign up. If a sign-up form is offered and you submit your email, it is used only to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Your device
Your theme (light or dark) and clock (UTC or local) preferences are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They never leave your browser and are not sent to us.
Third parties
Pages are served by Cloudflare. Analytics, if enabled, is handled by a privacy-focused provider that does not track you across sites. Any newsletter is handled by a dedicated email provider. Each processes data only to provide its service.
Your choices
To unsubscribe from the newsletter, use the link in any issue. For any privacy request or question, contact the desk.
